Renee Kinsoba (...the young woman with the magical
equivalent...) +++Renee is the sort of conglomeration of so many different traits and characteristics that she could only possibly be construed by fifteen year old who played too much Final Fantasy and Xenogears (You see: it's funny because it's self-depreciative). She is the nineteen year old vampire power child ascended emperess of an empire that has been out of business so long, nobody realized they still existed until they appeared out of nowhere and attacked the current tyrant. Renee is a magician of such immense power that I don't define it just so I can pull crazy shit out of my ass whenever I want to. See? Final Fantasy. Taa Daa! I'm done now, continue on. Saryon (...a hermit who grew bored of the power to shape the cosmos...) ***Saryon is hardly much more than his title proclaims. Well, except he also possesses the memories of his dead twin brother (Stryen) who was also created by the same extra-terrestrials (the Kressians) as he was, but who never got to claim his quasi-magical abilities before he was murdered. Oh, and he's allergic/immune to real mana or something. And I'm sure some other stuff. I don't remember. Viktor (...a warrior trained to massacre an
army...) ^^^Viktor is a sword-weilding geneticly engineered berserker with the social skills of a jackhammer. His genes were also manipulated in such a way that he unconciously is a sort of bodyguard for Renee. And that was definately intended from the start and was in no way a retroactive explaination for how they always conveniently ended up in the same place at just the right time to have a wacky adventure. Or, at least as wacky an adventure can get with two vampires, a vampire hunter, a hermit magician, a treacherous telepath, a knife weilding berserker, and a schizophrentic (WHOOPS! She's not in this comic!) Freddy Blackwood (...a centuries old vampire...)
&&&Freddy is somewhere just shy of two-hundred years old, and apparently has a thing for the young girls. Then again, when you get to be two-hundred, try your dating chances, eh? At one point in time, he was a murdering vampire bastard that fed on the living without abandon. Then he accidently got his soul back and set out to repent his sins by being a vampire-murdering vampire bastard and by dating Renee. I don't think the dating had anything to do with repentence, but I like to condense a bunch of facts together. However, explaining that is just dragging out this explaination even more. At some point, for some reason, his conciousness was split into two physical entities, the "good" soulful Freddy and the "bad" soulless Freddy. Then the good side left for some reason, and the bad side stopped killing as much. "SUCH IS THE PRICE OF LOVE!" (Pokey the Penguin) Riffington (...a inventor with a big gun, and a thing
against vampires...) @@@Riff has a penchant for blowing things up. He is claims to be an inventor but-- Hey wait! How'd this get here? Oops! Kellie Darkson (...the telepath who chose to forsake her
friends...) +++Kellie was once an agent for the former Esperian Emperor (guy that Renee replaced). She was trained to spy on Renee and do some stuff. After that she became friends and there is amazingly no sore spots about the whole traitor-schtick. She also looks like a boy in sprite form because she's skinny and has practically no boobs. Karen Jenkins (...the teenaged girl that dedicated her
life to the eradication of the undead...) &&&Karen kills vampires. That's what she does. On the side she's a sassy teenaged rabbit with an attitude but a heart of gold, and not the prostitute kind. I'm going to say more stuff now so that it looks like I described her more thoroughly and that I'm really not just running out of the will to keep typing. That looks good. Maybe some more. There we go. Perfect. Alleah (...the bat girl I never mentioned in the
first comic...) %%%Alleah is the anti-social bat that I don't know much about. I know she has a son, and an annoying roommate. She doesn't live with the others, but she's dating Freddy. I think she used to be a slave. It's a definate possibility. I suck. Sarah (...a schizophrenic with a heart of
gold...) +++Sarah died at some point. She used to be schizophrenic, but stopped. She knew the others. That's about all you need to know. Go away. +++ Denotes a character created and played by me, Todd Ponder, aka Id "Munkee" Yiddeli *** Denotes a character created and played by forumer Fritz Lipbalm ^^^ Denotes a character created and played by forumer Viktor Von Angry &&& Denotes a character created and played by Roy Orbison %%% Denotes a character created and played by Sophie Pistachio @@@ Denotes a character created and drawn and written by Pete Abrams of Sluggy Freelance who is very nice and not petty enough to be angry at an innocent cartoonist such as myself. |
